Tense is the form of a verb to modify the time and can be identified as present, past and future. It is namely simple, perfect, progressive and perfect progressive, and future. For each time (present, past and future) auxiliary or helping verbs are used with the base verb to convey the completed actions (perfect forms), actions in progress (progressive forms), and actions that are completed by some specified time or event and emphasize the length of time in progress (present progressive forms).
